A piece of music whose second movement hits a spot right in centre of the soul. Every time.
Heard this at the time almost unknown piece in the UK, when a group of teachers from the Music Academy of Ukraine played it at a concert in a Brighton Music Festival. Took 3 years to track down the score, and til now to find a recording. A bonus that the conductor is a descendant of the composer.

When I was a kid, my violinist father was always complaining about the world of music being overloaded with Bendas. I wasn't sure what he was on about back then, but I understood when I saw this CD (part of the 'Complete Benda' series). The conductor is a Benda and the composers are all Bendas too! Is there anyone in classical music who isn't a Benda?!
