5.0 out of 5 stars Funniest Man Ever, 30 Dec 2000
This review is from: Glorious And Dressed To Kill (Audio CD)
These two performances are the latest endevour of Eddie Izzard, possibly the funniest man around today. Well his latest performance was Circle which I saw on a rainy day in Boston. He put on an amazing show for 3 hours. I did not want it to end. I couldn't stop laughing. But anyway, back to the topic at hand. These two CDs are absolutly fabulous. No matter how many times I am listening to them I laugh again and again. You have to buy these two together for not only the laughs, but also the value. It's basically 2 for the price of 1. My next purchase will be the Unrepeatable/ Definate Article set of CDs. Then probably all the videos... Live at the Ambassadors... Anyway, enough of my babbling. You NEED to buy this CD if you need a laugh...it is comedy at its finest.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply amazing..., 20 May 2002

This review is from: Glorious And Dressed To Kill (Audio CD)
There is nothing funnier than Eddie. Period. And excluding his films, of all his works Dressed to Kill and Glorious are probably the best and are therefore great to have as a boxed set. There's a wide range of topics in Dressed to Kill, ranging from the Church of England to Scooby Doo (which he eventually compares to James Joyce and Shakespeare of all things). Glorious is also fabulous, my favorite set being Six Million Dollar Queen, where he talks sensitively about Britain's Queen Mother and her bionic eye. I also have Unrepeatable/Definite Article which are both extremely worth it as well. If you can, look into his many movies, more recently "Circus," "The Cat's Meow" (where he is a very sexy Charlie Chaplin) and "All the Queen's Men" which I don't think is out in all countries. These three are the most recent and the most easily found as usually you'll find him in smaller, more obscure roles (which is frankly where he does his best work).
