Belkin RJ45 Modular Connector 25 Pack

I recieved a padded bag containing the plugs. I crimped them onto the wires and everything worked fine. No problems. The order process worked exactly as you'd hope, no fuss and arrived quickly and as expected.

I crimped them onto solid core cat5e cable; not sure if they are really for stranded cable or solid but I haven't had any problems so far.

5 packs of 5 RJ45 connectors, top quality no problems. Fit them using a Draper Expert 180Mm Rj45 Cable Crimping Tool for fast and easy home networking. I'm sure professionals can use them too though the boxes are a little more bulky than a professional might like

These connectors are cheap and can't be used in a professional environment. I have uploaded two pictures where the potential cracks are visible. I though these were really made by Belkin, but there are no Belkin trademarks on them, but this is not important. What is important is that 80% of the connectors are broken. Most of them have "lines" on them, which become cracks when you crimp them. At first, I though it was my crimping tool, but I tested it with other connectors and everything was fine! Most of the connectors from this set break when you try to crimp them and have to be replaced. This is just a waste of money, time, connectors and cable!

I used these connectors to make up a number of custom length Cat5e Network Cables. In common with other similar RG45 Cables, the secret of success is to carefully dress the individual cores into the correct order and finally cut them back to the correct length. I usually use 15mm.

It is then necessary to push the cables until the ends of the individual cores can be seen through the end of the connector. For best results use a good Ratchet Crimp Tool, however these are rather expensive. I use a simple Hand Crimp Tool, which only cost a few pounds. I have not experienced any problems with the connectors purchased and would happily use these again.

They were quite difficult to get the wires into, they didn't click into the port well and they weren't of the same high quality of the ones we use at work.

However, they worked first time, I'm using them with Smart TV's so once in place they are there to stay and they are incredibly cheap.

Not sure if they are Belkin made? They look different to ones I bought elsewhere. Anyway, their ok and do the job even though the pin contacts are shorter and narrower than most others I've used in the past. For the price I paid for 25 of them I can't complain, their ok and do the job, I've not had any problems when fitting them to Cat5e cable as yet, no sign of cracking or deformation of the plastic so far. I do not like the individual internal guides for the wire cores in these though, most other plugs have longer guides for locating the cores to the pins than these ones do.

I wasn't sure what to expect at this price but I have found these connectors to be of very good quality with no sign of the cracking mentioned in a previous review, even when examined under a magnifyfing glass. I have now made up quite a few leads using these connectors and they have all tested ok and behaved faultlessly in service. Go ahead and buy them, at this price you have nothing to loose and everything to gain. Delivery from PlusKom was quick too.

For the price they are not bad at all. If they dont click into the ethernet port, just pull the clip up a bit and its fine.

I bought these to install some cat5 in my house and even though I have never done it before it was a doddle. One reviewer seemed quite unhappy with flawed plastics as seen in customer images but out of 25 connectors I didn't find a single flaw and my network now runs flawlessly. Anyone having problems should google for a tutorial, I did and it made my installation much easier than others have made out.

I got these along with some Cat6 cable for my gigabit network. Connection fittings are simple with the crimping tool (not supplied) I have had no connectivity issues with these and they come with so many in the pack that I wont need to buy any for a while so great value for money, You will need to buy some hoods too but if you look around on amazon you can buy combo deals with these includded.
