5.0 out of 5 stars STEP BACK RADIOHEAD, COMEFORTH MUSE !, 29 Oct 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Muscle Museum [CD 1] (Audio CD)
Simply a great track from an even better album. Matt's vocals and eerie guitar sounds are the backbone of which is the best single released this year. The video is superb, everything about this song and the band are quite breathtaking. If there is only one single to be bought this year then this is it !!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the first and still one of the best., 8 Dec 2001

This review is from: Muscle Museum [CD 1] (Audio CD)
It doesn't matter how dramatic and wonderfully OTT this band get. Their first single is still one of their best songs to date. OK, so it's their most Radiohead song, but there's nothing wrong with having influence, and it is still very much unique. With a pounding bass intro and a somewhat disturbing opening riff, you know from the very beginning this is something new. Then as the delightfully wavering vocals pour in you're immediately hooked. The bitterness and pain that is evident in this song rips your guts out and bleeds your heart dry, and I loved every minute of it. It's a highlight to their soul-wrenching debut album, and if you haven't heard this yet, you haven't experienced true emotion.

5.0 out of 5 stars genius, 3 Mar 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Muscle Museum [CD 1] (Audio CD)
This is the best song on Showbiz and probably the best song Muse have done to date. Matt turns into a guitar genius as he plays one of the most passionately chilling riffs of the century. All is going well as you think 'wow what a bloody brilliant band' and then the vocals hit you. Not only do they hit you, they blow you away into the land of Muse fans. Buy this and you will not be dissapointed.

Muse are my all time favorite band. They've done wonderful things that have had an enormous impact on my life and how I perceive music. They made me want to listen and even more, to make music, after doing music.
This single is really hard to get your hands on and it's really worth buying. It took me 6 months to find in a shop here in France. The songs on it are great:
The Muscle Museum US-Mix isn't that different from the original, only has a different ending and weirder bass line.
The Agitated Live Version really rocks, that song is so great and even better live!
The Sunburn Remix is weird but hearable and quite researched.
Also the CD contains a media section useable on your computer which is the MM US-Mix video which is a mix up of lots and lots of Muscle Museum live videos taken from 1999 - 2000.
A must have for Muse Collectors and most especially, for Muse lovers.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quite A-Muse-ing, 10 Oct 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Muscle Museum [CD 1] (Audio CD)
Muse release Muscle Museum for the third time, in the hope that due to there new found fame it might get noticed this time. And despite all there critics this is a very good song and probably their best. A strange kind of Eastern guitar sound and the brilliant way that Matt Bellamy's voice merges into the guitar solo towards the end make this an epic 3 minute masterpiece. And yes it does sound like Radiohead. But with Radiohead going all ultra weird on us perhaps there is room in our hearts for muse after all.

This is an amazing song and I recommend it to absolutely everyone. If you like this song, then I highly recommend you buy their album. The lead singers voice and emotion that goes into their music is truly amazing, he has a fantastic voice and the guitar part is excellent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great angst ridden song from Muse, 7 Oct 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Muscle Museum [CD 1] (Audio CD)
Museum begins with a great guitar riff, over the simple but very effective bass riff. A typical steady verse follows before the emotionally driven chorus hits you. Matt displays his vocal abilities through an amp at the end. One of Muses finest.
