Long lasting but CAN fail, 16 Oct 2008
Fun:
Ok so I HAVE had my PS2 memory card for a while now, but it has now started to act up.
A few months ago it lost all my Guitar Hero 3 data, so i had to do it again!! (not a huge problem as i love the game!) But seemed to work afterwards, thinking it was just a glitch i carried on using it but now it has failed again on GH3 and other games aswell.
I will be getting a replacement Sony card as they do last well and are better than other cards for the PS2 but be warned they can fail. (thats not to say they will though) :)

It's "official" it's the best, 9 April 2009
The official Sony Playstation 2 memory card is the best way to safely save your game without worries of data becoming corrupted.
After 7/8 years of using the original card with my ps2, problems started to arise with data corruption but there was no second thought in my mind when it came to replacing the card.

Humble, yet very useful, 11 Oct 2008
Fun:
Although not strictly a video game, the official memory card does what it says on the tin: to save your progress in video games up to the size of 8MB overall. Buy more of them to increase the number of game progresses you can save, but please note that you may need to swap between them quite often as the game may only read the memory card in the first slot.

Memory card for PS2, 30 Aug 2008
Fun:
Does it's job. Saves you memory. Doesn't really ever corrupt data. You need one for PS2's. Simple as that.

The Only Memory Card, 30 Jul 2009
Fun:
For me, using the Official cards is the only way to go; I learnt this lesson well when I got a cheap branded card for my PS One years ago, it broke into pieces for nearly no reason, so ever since I have been using the official cards. They are very good to a fashion, but sadly sometimes things happen to them, so if you have few games, make sure you buy two to back up the first one, as they can go wrong. Not sure if this is the PlayStation 2 which does this or whether it's the memory used, but I lost a huge amount of data - in fact I had around 12 game saves on an 8MB card, so beware, and always back up.
Otherwise this is a well built card, good plastic and nice little stickers to put on the front of the card so you know what's on them (as they're the same colour). Just make sure to keep them clean, away from bright lights and away from humidity, and they should last you a long time with faultless play.

Shockingly Large Memory, 24 May 2009
Fun:
WOW! I had my PS2 for 5 years and never used up it's memory. I played on it every day and am proud to say it never failed me. When I got it it was pricey but still worth it. It is impossible to go without and here Amazon is selling it cheaper by far than Game and Gamestation. A definate definate MMMUUUUSSSSTTT buy. NOW.
