5.0 out of 5 stars This CD proves that 98* is not just another boyband!!!!!, 6 Nov 2000

This review is from: Revelation (Audio CD)
They proved that they are not only extremely talented vocally, but they can write music just as well. I love the full sound of the orhcestra used throughout the whole CD. The drummer is excellent. This is their best CD yet. I love Drew's smooth baratone voice in his solos on "Yesterdays Letter" and "The Way You Do". They are all so talented and I am glad they let each one show his abilities throughout the CD. They just keep getting better. I can't wait for the next CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars ***What A Revelation!!!**, 28 Aug 2004
This review is from: Revelation (Audio CD)
This is the best album that the guys have made yet..sadly Nick went solo shortly after it.I love this cd..There isnt a bad track on here..Ok now for my pick..
"Yesterdays' Letter".."My Everything"..and "The Way you do"..are heartfelt ballads not for the emotional!""you dont know" is the second of my favourites its central meaning is Heartache..breaking up.. when you know that its for the best but it doesnt feel like it at the time..living without the one you love so much..and moving on...I also like "Never Giving Up"
"Dizzy"-fast and furious!incredibly catchy.Fab album*Sarah.C**

5.0 out of 5 stars What can i say?, 23 Oct 2000
This review is from: Revelation (Audio CD)
This has to be the best album 98 degrees have ever produced. This group is totally unique so i wont even bother trying to compare them to the bsb, or nsync. There are some really powerfull songs like "the way you want me to" and "dizzy", and then there are the really wounderfully soft songs like "stay the night". This is a brilliantly balanced album, and worth buying.

5.0 out of 5 stars 98 DEGREES TURN UP THE HEAT!, 7 Oct 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Revelation (Audio CD)
At a time when the boy band market is at its most competitive, 98 Degrees come from a different angle. With their smooth harmonies and signature ballards, this compelling album is set to pave the way for this Ohio-based foursome.
They explore a different level on REVELATION with the addition of some tasty up-beat songs, which heats up the tempo of this album.
"GIVE ME JUST ONE NIGHT(UNA NOCHE)", introduces some funky latin rhytms, whilst songs like "NEVER GIVING UP" and "THE WAY YOU WANT ME TO" craft some slick R&B melodies and add a vocal energy to there polished harmonies!
"STAY THE NIGHT" and "MY EVERYTHING", bring out the class in why 98 Degrees are considered the KING of the ballards. While the moody feeling of "YESTERDAYS LETTER", with its tightly woven harmonies, is a certain future hit!
Jeff Timmons, Justin Jeffre, Drew and Nick Lachey co-wrote eleven of the albums thirteen tracks; this album sees the group expanding its horizons rather then relying on tried-and-true songwriters.
All in all, the effort put into this fine album should give the guys the desired effect they wanted..........A GREAT ALBUM FILLED WITH A RANGE OF SONGS FOCUSING ON THERE SUPERB VOCAL ABILITY!
