5.0 out of 5 stars Ian Dury & the Blockheads at their best, 6 Nov 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Live (Audio CD)
From the first few bars of "wake up" to funky "reasons to be cheerful", here Ian backed with the blockheads, you get a chance to relive your youth.
All the hits are here "Hit me with your rhythm stick" with Davey Payne playing 2 saxophones at the same time, "what a waste", and Johnny Turnbull with an disco enraged guitar solo on "Reasons to be cheeful pt3" plus all the essential live songs, "Clever trevor" "Billericay dickie" & "Sweet Gene Vincent".
Ian's bantering with the audiance adds to the atmosphere, you really feel like your there.
If you only buy one Ian Dury Album, buy this one.
