My wife bought this game and from the off I was determined to hate it - after all what's the point of playing board games like this on a PC ?
Sadly (for me) within a few minutes I was utterly hooked and household chores went straight out the window in favour of trying to squeeze one last five letter word out of the Boggle cube on-screen.
There are five variants on the theme, starting with the traditional game and working up to the groovily named Space Boggle.
My favourite variation features the boggle bricks as part of a 3D cube which can be rotated to reveal letters on all sides - it really adds a novel new wrinkle to the game especially when played against another player.
All of the games on this disk are network ready, supporting LAN play or Internet challenges and it's here that the real competition starts - we lost hours with this flipping thing ....
The interface is nice and simple and happily fairly intuitive. Playing over the MSN Gaming Zone proved tricky to set up initially, but once up and running was top notch entertainment and dangerous to the phone bill.
All-in-all a great adaptation of a traditional table-top game and well worth the investment in time and money !
