It doesn't do your laundry. it just rumbles. it fits into the controller of a discontinued (and ferociously underrated) console and rumbles. Sometimes it doesn't rumble but, generally, it rumbles. It also shakes, vibrates, undulates, oscillates and palpitates. Happy? Good.

Sega's vibration pack is the cherry on the cake for Dreamcast gaming. The vibration pack is intelligent as the rumble from it varies depending on what's happening in the game. For example, if you are playing a driving game and you go slightly off road it will rumble only slightly, and rumbles more when you have a collision. The rumbles usually are in short bursts but can be constant depending on the in-game action (if you blast off in a rocket for example).
The vibration pack is best for driving games in my opinion and has a very realistic feel. To compare, it feels more realistic than the Gamecube's built-in rumble.
The vibration pack is inserted in the back of the Dreamcast controller and it does not require batteries.
To sum up, this is an intuitive feature that will enhance your Dreamcast gaming, and is quality at only a fiver. Definitely buy it.

Segas official vibration pak is very good, despite it being external it does not need batteries. It has a variation of vibrations and rumbles which are very well engineered for an external product, to be honest it is as good as the Playstation 'Dual Shock' pad. It is good it is external because it enables the design of the Dreamcast pad which is why it doesn't get a mark down.

This is a must-have accessory for Dreamcast fans. Compared to my other third party pack, this vibration pack seems to have a stronger rumble. You can slot it into the lower of the two controller expansion slots and have a VMU memory card above.
The colour of the plastic suits the controller and original console and it is especially suitable for racing games to give collision feedback, or great in first person shooters to simulate the kick of gun recoil.
Looking at the pack, the quality seems very good and in line with an official accessory. Should last for years of gaming and is powered from the controller itself.

Pretty amazed that this came brand new in the original packaging for a few quid! When buying, check the colour of the swirl on the packaging - for a PAL console, you'll need the blue swirl (although I've used an orange swirl UMD & it still worked in our PAL controller).
