This release takes us back to the turn of the Century offering 'Forty-Five' Chart Hits from
2000.
Another collectable with wall-to-wall Chart-Sounds from the day, another album I bought
when released.
With several Number 1's among the Pop selection on-board harbouring many great tracks
from that time, among the sounds on disc one.......'Melanie C' feat. Lisa 'Left-Eye' Lopes'
--'Never Be The Same Again'........'Britney Spears' --'Born to Make You Happy'........'Tom
Jones' and The Stereophonics' --'Mama Told me Not to Come'........'Aqua' --'Cartoon Heroes'
......'Atomic Kitten' --'See Ya'........'Steps' --'Say You'll Be Mine'........and........'Boyzone' --
'Every Day I Love You More'.......just some of the 'Hit' sounds on disc one.......on disc two..
....'Chicane Feat. Bryan Adams' --'Don't Give Up'........'DJ Luck and MC Neat' --'A Little Bit
Of Luck' --'Sisq'o' --'The Thong Song'........'Watergate' --'Heart of Asia'........'Lock 'N' Load'
--'Blow Ya Mind'........'Cuban Boys' --'C vsl'.........and........'John Lennon' --'Imagine'.........
just an indication of the many Hit Sounds that can be found on disc two........Another 2-CD
compilation worth checking out if missing from your 'Now' collection.
The 'Now' series has survived all these years because it's always 'current' harbouring many
of the hits of the day.......check out the play-list if the numbers I've randomly selected are of
interest.

This is an excellent CD. It seems to be a milestone (#45) of some sort, the front cover design, 45 tracks (the most for a 'now' I think). Well, the CD itself. CD1 starts off very well. Gabrielle's Rise, Mel C and Left Eye's Never Be The Same Again, along with Craig David's genius creation Fill Me In are all in the Top 10 of the year so far. All the tracks on this side are brilliant. CD2 then. Some massive dance hits, a few RnB anthems jutted in there (including the great Thong Song by Sisqo). The Fragma and Sisqo tracks keep it fresh for time. (These were top 5 the day it came out.) Also, for the first time, some garage, Artful Dodger and Craig David appear twice! At the end it seems to get a little different, as someone else said these tracks obviously wanted to be included but they didn't know where to put them. And it was a GOOD decision to put John Lennon's classic Imagine on here, because many young people buying the CD probably wouldn't have it already. I usually tire of the spring 'Now' edition, but this one has a good summer vibe to it. Better than 46, 47 without a doubt.

I feel that this album is a mockery to all that is played on the radio. Alot of these artists are talented but are glazed over by this completely mixed up cd. How u can fit trance, garage, pop, indie and hell nows what on one cd is beyond me.
It has no passion, no euphoria behind it - it goes from one type of music to each other within 3 miutes and there is no way u can get into it in that short space of time.
im all for all types of music but this is a joke. Maybe it reflects the diversity of todays music but i dont think that we will ever beable to understand music if it is so packaged.
Anyway half the songs i dont like any way but if u hate radio adverts or chris moyles and u like value for money then buy this but i think ill stick too somthing with a little more passion.....

Owning all the "now" cds since now 26, i still think they are excellent value for money and provide a good mix of different music types. this one is weaker than the last few editions, though with practically no britpop (remember now 32 with oasis, blur, pulp, cast, supergrass etc.) not one on the better ones. if you can track down copies of 30,31,32,33, and 39 then its well worth it. ....and finally, why put "imagine" on it. its 30 years old and has to have the naffest lyrics of all time outside country music.

I love music, and buy lots of singles, but there are so many tunes I love but would be excessive to buy. Now always includes them. All the tunes I had hoped for were on except Donell Jones, All Saints, Oasis and Westlife. Has anyone noticed that Now have not included any of Westlife's 5 number ones on the last three compilations since they started? Also a bit heavy on the dance but nice to see The Artful Dodger, Craig David, and DJ Luck and MC Neat on there.

I'm a fan of the Now's, and they are great value for money-this being no exception. A great variety of songs all together making irresistable listening! Although there are some odd songs which I personally wouldn't have included. E.g. John Lennon, the Hamster Song (WHY? ) But also there are some obvious absences from the compilation-like Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, All Saints, The Corrs and more

Yes, there has been better and worse NOW albums than this.

So, most of the tracks did make the 'top 10' in the charts, but this is more of a reflection of the charts than the album. In fact, there are about 10 really front line tracks and a further 10 half decent tracks. The rest ? You decide

Yet another NOW ALBUM that can be purchased for 1p from some dealers. Go for it.

This album has a hugh variety of pop music and each song I thouroughly enjoy. I really love the album and I find it is one of the best Now record ever.
However, like most Now Albums, Now45 gets out of date very quickly, although Fragma's "Miracles" has made it more up to date. I recommend this to anyone who loves the Top 10 Pop charts and the all-time fab popstars!

At 24, I'm probably much older than the average listener to this CD. I even remember when Now (1) came out (I must be truly ancient then!) Granted, the earlier albums didn't exactly sparkle from start to finish either (it was the mid-80's after all!) and it would be unfair to expect a truly great pop compilation album every six months, but I can't help feeling that the CD only too well reflects the dearth of good music around these days. Amazing to think that the Britpop boom was a mere 5 years ago, when a CD like this is full of such soon-to-be-forgotten wonders as SClub7, Fragma and Vengaboys. "Now" has a duty to be popular, but it also has a duty to gently introduce some more interesting and inventive music to the pre-teen and school-age audience. That's how genres like garage become so popular. So where are the likes of Death in Vegas, Primal Scream, Charlatans, Super Furry Animals etc etc?
On the plus side, there is the phenomenal "Natural Blues" by Moby, the two great Artful Dodger records and even "Imagine" for those 2 or 3 people who don't already have a copy.
Music should be diverse, it should have its fair representation of pop classics (Never Ever, Baby One More Time, I Try etc show that they are still being written), and if the greatest music isn't at the top of the charts, then compilations like this should bring them in from elsewhere. But they won't, because it may make the series less popular, at least to begin with.
Now that's what I call a cop-out.

This album has to be one of the best i have listened to in the past year. Now 44 was also excellent but this outdoes it by far. There is everything from pop, to rock and ballads. If you like any music whatsoever, you will want to listen to this. Can't wait until Now 46
