For those who haven't come across Trust before, I first discovered them when they supported Iron Maiden on either their Killer or Iron Maiden tour (can't recall which one it was now).
A classy French Metal band, Repression demonstrates their impressive range of music, under pinned by some strong social commentry.
Unfortunately they didn't make it as big in the UK as they deserved, probably being French limited the amount of coverage they received in the Music Press and Radio. Well worth a listen if you feel like discovering some Classic Metal from the early 80's.

This album is in my humble opinion, a classic of its time. Heavy Metal belted out with all the aggression and power of seventies' Punk. I'm convinced that had this band been British they would have been huge all over the world. Repression should be an essential addition to anyone's collection along with "Iron Maiden","Wheels of Steel","Ace of Spades" and all those other classic NWOBHM albums of that time. This album includes the brilliant "Antisocial",the English version being covered by Anthrax.

The confirmation! TRUST pushes further the limits already established with their first LP, and nobody is laughing anymore…
Now we have to take into account these young people who don't hesitate to provoke and to give their opinions with noise.
And they will take advantage of this position to cross the borders and to share their music with the world in releasing an English version of this LP.
Radio and TV show more and more interest in them and these ones will make a popular hymn of "Antisocial".
It's right that the ones who discredited TRUST in 1979 now flatter them. What a great step made in only one year. The sound is more elaborated, the songs are still engaged and the band shoot at all the issues, in particular with "M.Comedy", "Pick Me Up, Put Me Down", "Sects"…
And they also use an extract of Jacques MESRINE's book, in order to write "Le Mitard" ( Jacques MESRINE was the French public enemy n°1 at this moment ).
They begin to be censorship's victims because they disturb during President GISCARD's years.
From this LP, the following tracks will remain in the fans memory : "M.Comedy", "Paris Is Still Burning", "Le Mitard", "Death Instinct" and…….of course "Antisocial".

Brilliant album. Great music. Snarling guitars that ooze sleaze, anger and hope.
Performed with energy and belief, this album was, and still is, ahead of its time.
Politics haven't sounded so exciting!
