Elvis second film, "Loving You" is an excellent, semi-autobiographical account of Elvis rise to fame.
This fabulous quality DVD is a real pleasure to watch. A great job was done here; although a huge pity is the lack of special features.
Elvis is "Deke Rivers", a delivery driver, who by chance sings a song at a state fair; and is immediately noticed by the very sexy female manager.
The plot is simple, yet acted very very well, as Deke soon becomes a success. But his dark past comes back to haunt him, and we find that Deke is not only talented, but troubled.
There is plenty music in Loving You; almost every song is truly excellent, from the title tune, to classics such as "Mean Woman Blues", "Got a Lot O Livin' To Do" and of course, "Teddy Bear."
Look out for the "graveyard scene" where Deke bares his soul; superb acting and a really pleasing script on such a great DVD, makes this a joy.
