I first saw this in 1989 on VHS cassette and I loved it ,along with BLOODSPORT!-I just had to get it on bluray as its a classic and I wasn;t disappointed one bit as the picture quality is fanstastic for such an old film..the bluray has no bonus features but its still worth buying on bluray as its never looked so GOOD.I couldn't really tell if it UNCUT but it looked fine to me and I simply enjoyed watching it on bluray,..do I 100% recommend it to fans of van damme?,'yes'.

Kosugi and van Damme lock horns or should i say feet in a battle i watched when the film first came out it`s as thrilling now as it was then someone loses something in the sea and two countries are both after it trite but the pace isn`t bad if i say any more than that you wont be surprised so it`s up to you to see it for yourselves.

This film is about the US airforce and there most modern tacticle plane which crashed of malta. they send there filnest agent to recover it but van damme has been sent by the kgb also.
Van damme is a plank through out most of this film until the end when he struts his stuff but this is still a poor film . Don't ask why i bought this film but i'm writing this reveiw to save you the same disapointing nightmare. Try one of van dammes film like Timecop,Hard Target, or Kickboxer cause they are real quality but in my opinion get any films by Bruce lee because he is by far the best.

Van Damme early film acting is ropy but what what do you expect from the 80s. Enjoyable movie not a bad story.

The great Sho Kosugi hedlines this pseudo James Bond effort which is bolstered by some refreshing Maltese locations but suffers from poor acting, lacklustre direction and dreary dialogue. An early role for Van Damme sees him occupy the second fiddle villain, he's primarily there to match kicks with Sho. Van Damme's trademark helecopter kicks and double splits look fresh and clean and despite him having little to say, you can see why casting directors looked to him for their projects. I actually saw this on a cinema release back in the day and having just caught it again I was more than a little disappointed. Sho is great at the moody bad guy or strong silent type but here he's given plenty of dialogue which he chews through. The rediculous premise of his CIA masters forcing him to conduct a mission whilst his children are around is preposterous and the scripting tries to be sympathetic to Van Damme by giving him a love interest. Even considering its age, it's all a bit mediocre.

A car chase in Lada's is the height of this film. I think that say's it all. Quite laughable really.
