5.0 out of 5 stars Low-budget but still fun.
Chicken eggs are suddenly hatching into little dinosaurs, and before you know it a scaly beast is stalking the wilds looking for prey. A bulldozer driver and an environmentalist are unwittingly entangled in a mad scientist's plan to wipe out the human race and give the Earth to a new generation of dinosaurs.

I'll say this now. If you're looking for realistic...

3.0 out of 5 stars Cut price Jurassic Park clone.
Could this be the worst movie ever made? No, Ed Wood made sure of that but damn Adam Simon went pretty close.

This low budget Jurassic Park clone, uses chicken DNA and even Laura Dern's mother and the odd throwaway line "would make a great theme park". This imitation is the cheapest form of flattery.

Our evil female scientist is using eggs laced with dinosaur DNA to impregnate women to give birth to dinosaurs to help them take over the world. A suitably mad plan that is not out of kilter with this movie as a whole.

The dinosaurs are only one step up the evolutionary scale from those used in Dr. Who's "Invasion of the Dinosaurs". Some scenes even use hand puppets, Sooty, Sweep & Dino?

The only time the creatures look half-way decent is at the end when they go on a rampage through the town.

This is one of those so bad they are good films.

One redeeming feature is the downbeat ending and the military using the same solution as in "The Crazies" and "Night of the Living Dead".

It is certainly worth a look if you like low budget movies like I do. If only they would release the Carnosaur trilogy set on Region 2 discs.

I'll say this now. If you're looking for realistic dinosaurs then watch Jurassic Park. The creatures in Carnosaur are quite obviously low-budget. But what makes Carnosaur such an enjoyable film is its touches of humour, its genuinely dark moments and its interesting storyline which includes musings on 'dinosaur highways' and the future of the planet. The rockland locations also make an atmospheric backdrop. This is certainly one of the better low-budget monster movies out there.

well, It was a while ago that I saw this but I don't think I have ever seen a film that is worse.
The special effects are your standard horror fair with a really bad puppet T-Rex at the end.
The plot is what lets this film down the most. It makes no sense at all. Basically they were jumping on the Jurassic Park bandwagon. At least it's original.....
