Experimental electronica or free form jazz?
"Some best friend you turned out to be" is an undefinable mix of originality. References to Zappa detract from Ben Jacobs own merits as this album is an individual achievement that deserves not to be labelled.
A hugely enjoyable listen as each track has it's own identity while conveying a sense of fun.
If you like conformist music then do not purchase. If you want unique electronic fusion soundscape then buy.
Why only four stars? Because just under 45 minutes always leaves me wanting more.
