5.0 out of 5 stars Best of the Best - Jawbreaker Review

2.0 out of 5 stars Very dull
It's trying be a cross between Clueless and Heathers but it was neither funny nor that twisted and dark. The pace plodded along, the plot was rather predictable, the dialogue was bland and the acting wasn't up to scratch (Rose McGowan in particular seemed out of her depth despite playing the exact same character she plays in all her other films).

5.0 out of 5 stars Best of the Best - Jawbreaker Review, 30 Aug 2002
This review is from: Jawbreaker [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Jawbreaker is one of the most exciteable, smartest, obnoxious teen movie's ever made.
This movie see's three close friends, accidently murder the most popular and pretty girl at school, and aside from the terror on their faces, as they try to hide the fact that they killed 'Liz', it show's them going to drastic lengths to cover up their part in her death, from turning the high school nerd, one of the most dull, boring teens in the school into one of the 'in crowd', and to getting someone to have sex with the dead body of their 'friend'.
This movie has that touch of classic elegance and a spark that no teen movie has ever had, it's funny and yet a miraculous transformation from a normal every day high school gang, to a murderer playing one of the most sickest and morbid games. To doing everything in her power to hide, the fact that she killed the most populat teen dream, no matter how ugly the facade gets.
Jawbreaker also shows the strength of one of the gang standing up for her deceased friend, and doing everything in her power to bring the real killer down.
The pure talent of the actors' in this movie is outstanding and overwhelming.
Jawbreaker is a must see, its an amazing and yet almost typical high school life, with bitchiness, murder and mean spiritnes all thrown in, to form the sweetest of candies, that is sour as death inside.
