5.0 out of 5 stars Oh happy day when this came!
Like most films starring Whoopi Goldberg this film doesn't dissapoint. Whoopi as Deloris becomes an undercover nun once again - this time in order to rehabilitate an awkward, urban school. I personally think this film has more appeal to young people than the first being quite inspirational, but doesn't quite live up to the first.
However, it is still brilliant and I...

3.0 out of 5 stars Musical Sensation!
This film really is very uplifting and pleasanlty simple. With a whitty storyline and colourful characters, Sister Act 2 is a great easy-to watch film. In this sequel, Whoopi Goldberg returns to save the day, pulling a group of troubled youths together through their mutual love for music. It is the musical aspect of this film that makes it shine, with the voice of Lauryn...

4.0 out of 5 stars A must for anyone that enjoyed the film, 5 Feb 2000
By A Customer
I am a big fan of both the Sister Act films and purchased this CD the moment I saw it.
The tunes are fab (such as "The Greatest Medley Ever Told" - the opening part of the film when Whoopi is flying around in a Nun's outfit in a Hotel) but those that I enjoyed most were the gospel songs "Oh Happy Day"; the grand finale "Joyful Joyful" (great if your system has good bass); and the wonderful "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" (with the powerful voice of Lauran Hill).
These tracks have become a much loved part of my Gospel music selection.

3.0 out of 5 stars siste act 2, 3 Jan 2003
This review is from: Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit [DVD] [1994] (DVD)
Whoopi Goldberg returns in a gratuitous, poorly written sequel that contrives a reason to get her character back into Maggie Smith's convent. The "socially conscious" plot finds Goldberg being asked to relate to a bunch of street kids and pull them together into a choir. Since a bad guy is needed, the script grabs that old chestnut about a rich guy (James Coburn) preparing to close down the convent's school. Its not the best sequal but a great one at that, filled with good acting a good storyline and great uplifting songs. If your into comedy, music and light hearted fun then this is a must see film. In my opinion its a classic.
