5.0 out of 5 stars The Greastest Wrestle Mania EVER!, 20 April 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: WWF: Wrestlemania 14 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Some people say that Wrestle Mania III is the greatest ever. I haven't seen number three, but Wrestle Mania XIV would be pretty hard to beat. Every match is entertaining. The Free For All to kick it off gives a great insight into the build up of the show itself, and is highly entertaining. Then comes the 15 Tag Team Battle Royale, which features the return of the L.O.D. 2000 (Or O.L.D. as I call them) to WWF action, as they are accompanied by Sunny, who, back then, was the best looking lady in the WWF. Then, there's a great Lightheavyweight Title match between Taka Michinoku and Aguilera (Now Essa Rios), which displays all of their ariel ability. Triple H has an entertaining European Title match with the late Owen Hart, which includes Sergeant Slaughter's failed attempt to neutralize Chyna. There's a good Intercontinental Title match between The Rock and Ken Shamrock, in which Ken's temper gets the better of him. There's an entertaining mixed tag team match between Sable and Marc Mero and Luna and Goldust, in which Sable shows she has a little bit of wrestling skill. There's a cracking WWF Tag Team Championship Dumpster Match between the New Age Outlaws and hardcore legends Cactus Jack and Terry Funk, which is the best match of the show. And then there's HBK defending his WWF Championship in his last ever WWF match against Stone Cold Steve Austin with Mike Tyson as guest enforcer. Eventually, Tyson turns on DX and HBK, and turns out to be a huge Stone Cold fan. Every WWF fan should own this video.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wrestlemania 14- the baddest show on the planet, 23 Aug 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: WWF: Wrestlemania 14 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I'll start with the best, the tag team dumpster match is just class, Chainsaw Charlie proves he can work a forklift and Cactus puts on a good show. The main event, Tyson makes DX look like fools and proves he's got a heart of a Rattlesnake. Stone Cold and Shawn put a great fight on but Shawns injured back keeps coming back to haunt him. Sable once again gets the attention and Mero once again fails in his attempt to steal her spotlight ( Sable executes the TKO better than the marvellous one.) An entertaining i-c match where once again mental Ken snaps and goes nutty. A wicked 15 team battle royal with a return of L.O.D 2000 and that sexy, saucy Sunny. High flying offence in the light weight division between Taka and todays Essa Rios where the michinoko driver proves too much for Essa. Chyna and a little help from some flour foils the sergeants attempt to stop her interferring in HHH match with Owen Hart. WWF creative team make taker look weak which annoys me but in the end taker provails and 3 tombstones keeps the fried freak down. overall a great ppv and a must own for the ultimate fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wrestlemania 14, 21 July 2012

Match 1:
15 Team Battle Royal

A nice bit of chaos to kick off Wrestlemania 14. Rather enjoyable. Here we see LOD 2000 for the first time.

Match 2:
WWF Light Heavyweight Championship
Taka Michinoku (c) vs. Aguila

A great lightweight bout. Alot of high risk offence from both men. Great match. Taka is always good to watch.

Match 3:
WWF European Championship
Triple H (c) vs. Owen Hart

Two technical geniuses doing what they do best. Another great match.

Match 4:
Mixed Tag Team Match
Marc Mero & Sable vs. Goldust & Luna

Average match. Alot of playing to the crowd. Not bad, not great.

Match 5:
WWF Intercontinental Championship
The Rock (c) vs. Ken Shamrock

Short match, but for me, it was better than their match at Royal Rumble '98.

Match 6:
WWF Tag Team Championship Dumpster Match
New Age Outlaws (c) vs. Cactus Jack & Chainsaw Charlie

Great match. Plenty of action, which you come to expect from these four. Very enjoyable.

Match 7:
The Undertaker vs. Kane

Very farfetch'd build up to this one but a great match all in all.

Match 8:
WWF Championship (special guest enforcer: Mike Tyson)
Shawn Michaels (c) vs Stone Cold Steve Austin

A Wrestlemania classic. Michaels' last match for four years and what a match to go out with. Both men give it their all. Superb main event.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wrestlemania 14-The Attitude Era Starts Here, 7 Mar 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: WWF: Wrestlemania 14 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Wrestlemania 14 has become known as the event that started the "Attitude" era, although I believe that this era had truly begun long before this. Anyway, this does have plenty of "Attitude" and plenty of great matches aswell. The only bad match is the over-crowded tag-team battle royal (the count-down show isn't much fun either, thanks to Sunny and Michael PS Hayes).
The best match is the main event between Stone Cold and HBK. Despite suffering from a back injury that would eventually end his career, Shawn Michaels takes some dangerous bumps and makes it a top-notch match (Guest Ref Mike Tyson also plays a vital role in the match, watch and see). Elsewhere on the card, Undertaker has an excellent big man outing with Kane, and in a suprisingly solid mixed tag match, Marc Mero and Sable take on Goldust and Luna. And who could forget the dumpster mayhem between The Outlaws and Catcus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie?
Overall, it was great show, probably one of the best Wrestlemania events in history. However, a word of warning. It is quite violent and has some profanity, so it's not really family viewing. If it was re-released today I doubt it would get an E!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Show, Worth Buying, 26 Mar 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: WWF: Wrestlemania 14 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Well, Looking for a decent WWF video which isn't a 15 certificate is quite difficult. But, I found to my suprise, WrestleMania 14 is an 'E'. Despite this, the video is just as violent and crazy and sexy as any other event which reaches a higher watching age. I put it on and watched an insignificant and pointless battle royal, which was a reminder why everybody hates The Royal Rumble match. Way too many people in the ring at once, and the outcome was horribly predictable.
But then we were hit with a flurry of excellent matches, including HHH vs. Owen Hart, Taka vs. Rios, and Rocky vs. Shamrock. The mixed tag match is terrible, with Goldust wrestling just about the worst bout he has ever participated in. Sable looked good though.
The dumpster match was funny and brutal, with major bumps being taken by Jack and Funk, and even Billy Gunn at 1 point.
Kane vs. Undertaker had such a great storyline, and the match lived up to it, with Undertaker going flying through the announce table. Then came....
The MAIN EVENT! BRILLIANT! Tyson at ringside, Austin vs. Shawn in the ring. The outcome was yet again predictable, but hey, a great ending nonetheless! Buy now, not the best, but buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Beginning of the modern wrestling era, 6 Sep 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: WWF: Wrestlemania 14 [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This video is essential viewing for anyone who has ever liked pro wrestling. Has there ever been a bigger sports entertainment milestone than the Shawn Michaels-Steve Austin main event with Mike Tyson at ringside? Once again everyone in the WWF gave their best performance of the year, making this a true all-time classic. Nearly all the WWF titles are on the line here too. My personal favourite is the Triple-H vs Owen Hart European Title match, which has a twist in the tail. However, most people point to the New Age Outlaws vs Cactus&Chainsaw Tag title match with some of the biggest bumps in major league wrestling history. All in all, this is the stuff of legend, so get it now-ish.
