5.0 out of 5 stars Michael Jackson's Ghosts Video, 3 Feb 2003
In my opinion this video far exceeds the Thriller offering from Michael Jackson.

Whether you are a fan or not, this video has to be seen to be believed. The dancing, music and - of course - the dancing are superb. The special effects will have you sitting there open-mouthed. Not only does Michael play the main lead, but also the part of the Mayor, with such amazing make-up that it really is difficult to tell that it's him.

This is one video that you should definitely have in your collection. Wonderful.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ghosts - A Masterpiece!, 4 Aug 2002
I have been a MJ fan for over 20 years, and bought this some time ago. I must have watched it hundreds of times since. As usual for Michael the dancing has to be seen to be believed, however, this is more about the special effects than anything. The music is taken from Blood on the Dancefloor (not one of his best albums), yet the tracks chosen for the video are excellent. I highly recommend you buy this video, even if you aren't a fan of his work. The dancing skeleton has to be seen to be believed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ghosts - Surprised me!, 13 Sep 2000
By A Customer
Ghosts is a great short film, it did indeed shock me, i'm a massive MJ fan, however, even though i saw him in Moonwalker, his acting skills showed good promise, which is probably why he is starring in a film about Edgar Allen Poe's(well known poet) life. the sountrack is brilliant, which has songs from the "Blood On The Dancefloor" album, including "Ghosts", and "Is it Scary" which should have indeed been released as a single. "Ghosts" shows Jackson with promising acting skills, as well as showing his emmaculate dance moves that continue to please and shock us all - Please people, ignore the story's and his appearance, listen to his music, whatch his moves, and give his acting career a chance before knocking it down before it's premeired it's full ptential, you will be filled with a sense of joy i promise you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Ghosts...a masterpiece, 4 Aug 2003
He has done it again! Michael Jackson has continued his career and music into the year 2003...Ghosts, released '97 is a spectacular video and really does proove to the critics that he still 'has it'. Fantastic special effects and breath taking moves makes this another huge success for MJ...it really is something you don't believe untill you see it! So what are you waiting for? Go and see it!
P.S. To all MJ fans out there ...Michael is currently workin on a new album to be released end 2004-start 2005, he also will be doing tours (america mainly, but he will come to europe and the UK) also another album due mid '05 as he re-joins the JACKSON 5.

5.0 out of 5 stars IS IT SCARY?, 8 Jul 2000
By A Customer
Michael Jackson proves he is the King of Pop once again. The songs '2BAD', 'GHOSTS', 'IS IT SCARY'(which should have been released as a single), are featured and performed by MJ. Check out Michael dancing as a skeleton is 'Is it scary'!

The effects are amazing, so is Mjs dancing. This was Mjs last music video before he had a break. Michael will be back in March 2001, with a new album, new dance moves, and new breath taking videos! He's worth the wait. The king of pop rules!

5.0 out of 5 stars word's fail me .... absolutely fantastic, 17 Jul 2009

I have only come across this mini-film since the lovely Michael has passed on and the first few times I watched this I could not stop crying, the brilliance of this film just brought it all home to me that this special guy is no longer with us, his talent had no bounds. In this mini-film, Michael Jackson is at his absolute best, he would have made one hell of a brilliant actor, he is such a natural. The silver lining is, that Michael has left us with some brilliant music and films like this one, that to my opinion, could never be equalled or beaten.

I also adore the tracks he used in this film; 'Is it Scary' and 'Ghost' ... I now dub 'Ghost' as one of my favourite MJ tracks of all time, YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS FILM .... sheer excellence.

RIP Michael

5.0 out of 5 stars The best music video ever, 21 Jun 2004
Firstly, this is kind f thriller style, but walks all over thriller, smooth criminal, bad... all of them.

The main video is about 30 minutes long, and features 3 songs, those being 'is it scary', '2 bad' and of course 'ghosts'.

The last 10 minutes id credits, but you see a behind the scenes of Michael getting into the fat man costume and some of the blue screening.

Everything in this video is perfect, the music, the dancing, the special effects. It's such a shame that so few people even know this underrated masterpiece even exist. Best music video ever, really.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely mindblowing peace!, 19 Feb 2005
Michael Jackson's Ghosts is an absolutely mindblowing masterpiece!
Written by Stephen King and Michael himself, it's a mix of the best horror in the field and the craziest and most entertaining comedy!

The story is about Michael (aka. The Maestro) living in a big creepy mansion in a normal city, full of normal people. However, Michael is far from normal. He likes to scare people, and he has a great talent on the field. He only does it for fun, and the kids of the town often visit him to get a scare, and they like him very much!
However, the parents and people of the town do not like what Michael is doing at all. They want him out of town, so one dark and windy night, they go to the mansion to get him out. But little did they know, that they were about to get the biggest scare of their life...

The movie includes the songs "2 Bad", "Is It Scary" and of course "Ghosts".
Michael, having five roles in the movie (Maestro, Skeleton, Super Ghoul, Mayor and Monster Mayor), is the big highlight. This film proves, that not only can he dance, but also act.

But a big part of the movie is indeed dancing! Michael's amazing skills comes to life, and it is himself who coreographed the entire peace along with two other guys. You won't believe what they do in this!

And last, but definitely not least: The amazing special effects! Watch Michael pull of the skin of his head to reveal his skull under it. Watch him pull down his jaw to the floor, and witness Michael turn in to a live skeleton, a super ghoul, and watch how you posess a mayor, and turn him into a monster! (And how da hell do you get 20 ghosts upside down on the loft?!)
All this (and more) is amongst the great special effects!

So, all in all, this is a great movie, fantastic songs, fantastic acting, amazing special effects and EXTRORDINARY dancing!

Watch it! - You won't regret it..

5.0 out of 5 stars A masterpiece by the king of pop, 24 Feb 2005
Michael Jackson lives his life Off the Wall, he's Bad, and his movie Ghost is a Thriller and it will make HIStory.

The king of pop is great in this film. Some cool dance moves, great speciel effects and much much more. This is no doubt the best video MJ has made, it is a true masterpiece.

I hope it will soon be released on DVD.

Michael Jackson is the true one and only King Of Pop.
