Yes the very first 12 episodes of coronation street. This is the best video that has ever been made of the street. People like Ena Sharples, Annie Walker and Jack Walker the very first owners of the Rovers Return and a very young Ken Barlow. This video I would highly recommend to anyone who is a fan of the longest running soap, Coronation Street.

This video offers avid fans the chance to take a trip down the memory lane of 1977. Four complete programmes are offered from that year and each is introduced by a fresh-faced Helen Worth. It was enjoyable looking back at the early lives of some of the current cast members such as Gail, Deirdre, Ken, Mike, Emily and Rita. The video also gives a chance to look back at Stan and Hilda's hilarious exploits in a posh hotel and to watch Annie Walker (as Elizabeth I) and Ena Sharples (as Queen Victoria) compete for pole position on the Jubilee Float. Taking part are other characters long departed but never forgotten such as Eddie Yeats, Elsie Tanner, Mavis Riley and Bet Lynch. I'd forgotten what a tiger Bet Lynch was - a classic cat fight brought it all back !

Episode1:Dennis'Concert, Dennis has organised a charity performance for the over 60s at the Mission Hall. Ena has refused to have anything to do with it.
Episode2:Christine's Breakdown,Christine becomes confused and distressed over her dull lifestyle. She finds herself climbing out of the factory window and onto the roof.
Episode3:Ken Marries Valerie, Valeries suprises everyone by not being nervous. Ken suffers from a hangover. Aniie gets drunk at the reception.
Episode1:The Walkers Silver Wedding, Annie neglects the bar all day to prepare for the party.Jack rows with her. Elsie borrows a dress from work, Swindley drops a trifle down her. This video is really enjoyable to watch and I would recomend to anyone who is a fan.

This video is a particularly good example of colour episodes, presented by Betty Driver (Betty Turpin). It is nice to see old characters like Albert Tatlock, Minnie Caldwell and the formidable Ena Sharples (at the end of episode 4 on the video, you can easily see her trying to keep her false teeth in place...) Buy it today!

With the excess of 27 million viewers tuning into see the infamous "TRAM" Episode, and regualer attracting 20million. Coronation Street will stay as one of those significant programmes in television history.
This video focuses on the Alan Bradley days, from his exit from prison to his death in blackpool. Along with the distruction of mike baldwins factory, and Ken Barlows affair. These are some of the streets best episodes and are worth every penny, pricesless corrie at its besy.

This is the best video ever produced about Coronation Street! It contains the first twelve episodes of the worlds longest running soap. It takes one or two episodes to get used to the style of filming, but afterwards you get get engrosed it the story lines and you just can't wait until the next episode. I recomend this video to anyone who is a fan of the street and wants to see how it all began and got the nation engrosed in the program!

Well Classic it certainly is. Coronation Street provides you a fantastic 4 episodes on the video presented by a much younger Johney Briggs (Mike Baldwin). Speaking of Mike he, Dreary Deirdre and Ken are the focus in the first episode featuring the ever favorite love triangle. Fantastic acting on William Roache's behalf, quite good from Johny Briggs and a load of rubbish from Anne Kirkbride and and her jumpy vains.
Episode 2- One of the most funniest episodes of Coronation Street I have EVER seen. The three main stars are Betty Driver (Betty Turpin/Williams) Julie Goodyear (Bet Lynch/Gilroy) and Fred Feast (Fred Gee) all were great, they all provided good quality comedy acting. The end scene was great when Bet and Betty went for a plunge into the cold depth of the lake but funny.
Episode 3- The Ogden's 40th Aniversary. Well what an episode we finally but the traumas behind us and get on with some happy episodes like 2. 3 was meant to be but the end some tragic news was broken. Poor old Rita, Len was killed instantly in a car crash. More to this in episode 4......................
Episode 4- Rita's Trauma- Barbara Knox (Rita Fairclough/Sullivan) was great in this episode. She had some fantastic scenes that most of the other actors could never have managed in 1 million years such as (Anne Kirkbride, Eileen Derbyshire and Betty Driver) But still the best ep on the tape with a small comedy performance in the factory from Vera and Ivy.
It is great to see legendry actors like Pat Phoinex, Doris Speed, Barbara Knox, William Roache and Anne Kirkbride at their best or worse in Anne Kirkbride's case.

Quality Corrie nostalgia. This video has some superb episodes from the Streets history. The first is the Ken/Deidre/Mike triangle and is excellent, the drama is still real now even after all these years, will she leave him and go with Mike or stay with Ken, although we now the answers now, this episode is superb. Second episode is 'Car in the lake' Fred takes Bet and Betty to the countryside for a picnic in Mrs Walkers Rover, the handbrake is faulty. At the very end of the episode Bet and Betty get back in the car, Fred slams the boot shut and the car runs down the hill and into the lake with the barmaids inside, dissapointingly the episode finishes and doesn't include Fred trying to rescue them from the car. The Ogdens 40th wedding anniversary is great, some good interactions with characters long gone, the Oggies, Elsie Tanner, Suzie Birchall and finishes with the police arriving to tell Rita that Len has been killed in a car crash. The next episode follows on from this with the aftermath of Lens death. This video really is Coronation Street in it's heyday!

For anyone else confused like me Amazon seem to have placed reviews of various other Coronation Street titles against this VHS.

Through the Keyhole is just OK. Essentially a random selection of clips with emphasis on Ken Barlow, linked by Loyd Grossman in his keyhole mode. Oh for a remake with Keith Lemon !

Not on DVD so recommended only for the avid Corrie collector who can still play videotapes.

This is a famtastic video with 4 good episodes.
1. Peter and Susan's 21st Birthday. Not a lot happened in this episode apart from Susan and Mike Baldwin plan to get married.
2. The Rovers Fire- In this episode, Bet Lynch is stuck in the rovers while there is a fire downstairs. But she is rescued and saved.
3. The new Rovers- Betty Turpin isn't enjoying retirement, while the new rovers is opened by Hilda Ogden.
4. The Websters Wedding- Sally and Kevin get married.
Best Actor- William Roache (Ken Barlow)
Best Actress- Jean Alexandrer (Hilda Ogden)
A good video well worth watching.
