5.0 out of 5 stars If you get one Divine Comedy album get this one!
I'd always been a fan of the singles The Divine Comedy had released in a vague 'Oh I like that' when it was played on the radio kind of way but never got round to buying any of their albums.
Recently I decided to update my cd collection with something of theirs but had no idea which album to get. I trawled through tons of reviews on the net and the concensus seemed...

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting
I bought this because I heard the track 'Songs of Love' (based on the theme tune of Father Ted) on a radio programme and loved it. Well worth buying, just for that. The rest of the album is not at all like that, and has definite echoes of Bonzo Dog Doodah Band wackiness about it. However, I have lots of the Bonzos' stuff, and prefer the original.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lost for words, 3 Mar. 2012
This review is from: Casanova (Audio CD)
I love this - but can only sum it up in NH's own words

'Elegance against ignorance, difference against indifference, wit against ....' (you fill it in)

A superb song writer and a fine voice, who can express emotion as well (which is rare).

I had 'Songs of Love' played at my wedding. Says it all. TDC are outstanding, and as an entry CD - this is a must.
