The best live rock and roll album ever
on 12 August 2005
This is Jerry Lee Lewis at his very best - wild, energetic, playing up to an enthusiastic audience. Supported by British combo the Nashville Teens he storms through his hits, some fabulous boogie piano on several tracks, a nod to country on Your Cheating Heart, sheer power on the performance of Whole Lotta Shakin'. 29 years old and at the height of his powers, if past the peak of his fame, he rewards his fans with more than you can reasonably expect from any performer, a no frills roller coaster ride through some of the best rock and roll songs of the era. The sound quality of 60s recodings means the band are not always clearly audible but Jerry Lee is clear throughout. A cracker!
