I bought this as I'm really interested in Manchester's music history. This hugely important producer links all the music on here, most of which I like.

Many of these Martin Hannett productions have been issued by Ace and this CD on the Debutante label comes with a 1989 interview
Mainly Manchester bands like the Joy Division,the Happy Mondays,the New Fast Automatic Daffodils,the High,the Durutti Column,Slaughter & the Dogs with the token Irish band in U2.The first Kissing The Pink single is here which came out on a one off label called Martyrwell.
Loses a star because of the inclusion of the atrocious Jilted John which is so bad its badder
