4.0 out of 5 stars Talk on Corners: The Corrs - Ashamed to say I'm hopelessly addicted to this...
This is the second studio release from The Corrs, Ireland's premiere folk/pop crossover artists. With traditional jigs mixed with original material that works as either a folk sound or as a pop song, this is an eminently listenable album. The group have a great sound, and with some stunning lead vocals soaring above their very Celtic backing it's a bit of an attention...

3.0 out of 5 stars Love the album
Love the album. Pity has a fault on one of the tracks (scratched???). Will certainly listen to more Corrs music.

This is the second studio release from The Corrs, Ireland's premiere folk/pop crossover artists. With traditional jigs mixed with original material that works as either a folk sound or as a pop song, this is an eminently listenable album. The group have a great sound, and with some stunning lead vocals soaring above their very Celtic backing it's a bit of an attention grabber. It will perhaps be a bit to folky for the pop fans and a bit too poppy for the traditional folkies, later albums from the group have leant far more into one camp or the other in order to find a greater mass appeal. But for me this remains a perfect blend and one of their best.

No wonder this is the biggest selling Irish album in UK history.
This band has no end of talent, and is nothing like pop music now. A well made album thought positive and negative emotions with a lovely blend of the violin and tin whistle for good measure.

4.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST? Maybe..., 3 Jan. 2006
By
This review is from: Talk on Corners (Audio CD)
I got this album about three years ago, and I have to say, it wasn't disappointing. The 5 singles released from it are very good, and the other songs are good too! But how many actual good tracks out of this album?
Eight out of thirteen
BEST TRACK - Only When I Sleep will be a Corrs classic forever.
WORST TRACK - Queen of Hollywood disappoints.
OUT OF A HUNDRED - 99.9 out of a hundred, a very good CD!!!
