Boring? Cant let that one go. Gene Clark is one of the greats and this is such a rich, lovely and tuneful record; rich harmonies, great songs - Is yours is mine, tried so hard (as covered by Yo La Tengo). It isnt No Other, but there are plenty of tracks on here which are absolutely every bit as strong. I come back to it again and again. Seriously one of my favourite albums.

I watched a documentary on BBC4 about the Byrds and loved Gene's voice and song writing so much so I ordered this album. I wasn't sure what it would be like but it's a fantastic album with beautifully crafted melodic songs.

When you have heard Gene's later work, this one seems dated. Boring? No, but definitely dated. Gene's vocals are so refreshingly good, dare I say better, on familiar 1960s Byrds songs. Much as I still like to play the early Byrds material, it just doesn't compare with Gene's later work such as No Other and White Light.

Good but lost all the power of the mono mixes. The stereo remixes don't do the music justice. Interesting to hear the extra tracks but my advice is to go for the original "Gene Clark and the Gosdin Bros" in mono. It is so much better

Here's singer-songwriter who can at his best really make you listen both to the words and the music. Some on this album are great - but mediochre. Just like everything else there are always days when nothing sounds right.

Gene Clark was a great composer with the Byrds. But time has passed and this music is a bit boring. Unless you drive à convertible Mustang from Denver to San Francisco...
