I stumbled across this on amazon.com, and opted to buy it on the basis of the official text above. When I first listened to it, I felt a little let down, I couldn't distinguise the Kraftwerk, nor any other influences mentioned. But after a couple of other plays, it became clear. Slater has built upon the styles whilst mainting an element of the past. What this results in is an exciting mix of old-school sounds, held together in a progressive composition. Hard to explain in words, but it sounds great to listen to. It would have got 4 stars, but for the fact that a couple of the tracks needed a little more production. I'm sure to buy Slater's next release, he's one to watch!
