5.0 out of 5 stars Upbeat guitar pop from the guitarist of Kings X., 26 Jan 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Moonflower Lane (Audio CD)
Ty Tabor has been guitarist with the underated Texan power trio Kings X for over a decade, producing many fine rock albums. With this solo outing he has created a whole album of the lighter more pop-oriented side of Kings X, and with it's overall feeling of optimism and sincerity it is an enjoyable and uplifting listen throughout.
Opening with 'I Do' with it's joyous guitar riff and upbeat lyrics, Ty's guitar and vocal skills are used to full effect on this album, especially halfway through with the up-tempo 'The Truth'. As with his band Kings X, Ty's singing voice and songwriting brings comparisons to the Beatles, and deservedly so.
I love this album and would recommend it as a rewarding listen for all fans of good guitar oriented rock / pop music.

4.0 out of 5 stars Top quality Rock with unique grooves!, 26 Oct 2009

Here is another album from the guitar legend of funk rock band KING'S X who have influenced many bigger groups over the years such as Metallica, Iron Maiden, Alice in Chains. This album is much more like much of the stuff he has put into King's X, whereas the Safety album was mostly all acoustic and much more mellow. This album returns him with his trademark guitar sounds, the Beatles influences but is original enough to impress. He does try a few styles and sounds that have not appeared on King's x albums and overall this comes across as a very confident, happy original album. A good rock album with various shades from a very underrated though hugely talented songwriter and guitarist. Great tunes.XV - Ltd Ed,
