Difficult to write a review of this particular CD, I can only view it as the end of Pink Floyd, in fact it's not the end that happened earlier.
This is really a Roger Waters extravaganza before he quits completely having pixxed off the rest of Floyd.
Does this make it a bad CD no far from there are some very strong Social Comments being written & sung about and from that perspective it is a very good CD in the collection.
File under Roger Waters and it fits, but not as a Pink Floyd number.
Whether after a long gap, Momentary Lapse of Reason, Division & Endless River mend the thread back to Floyd I'm not sure but they are more recognisable in style.

If you like The Wall, you will almost certainly like this. So much of the content of The Final Cut has synergy (both in terms of lyrical content and musically) with The Wall that this album could almost be called The Wall pt2

Despite some negative comments, I absolutely love The Final Cut - I think Waters and Gilmore are both musical geniuses, but I lean towards Roger's vocal style slightly more than Dave's, and hence rate this album over both Division Bell and MLOR (both of which are very good albums and well worth obtaining)

As with all Floyd stuff, this suffers from being extremely good but what people forget is this album is, essentially, the stuff the rest of the band persuaded Roger to leave off the Wall. Good though it is, it remains a tad disjointed because of where & when it was actually conceived.........
Still, if you like Floyd.......buy it - except if you like Floyd you'll probably have it already and where's the sense in buying something over and over again just because it's been "remastered" or has a few "rare & previously unreleased" tracks on it?
Y'see, Roger (bless his heart) has been railing against the suits for years - he hates the "units sold" attitude and yet here we are faced with yet another clever little enterprise designed to do no more than leech loot from our pockets into theirs. I guess it helps keep the artists comfortably numb............. they call it riding the gravy train..........

Its Pink Floyd...what more is there is to say!

The condition of the CD is excellent. The package was good and intact and it all arrived safely, without damage and very promptly. I did not contact the seller but he enclosed a hand written note with his contact details. good personal touch.

I've been a fan of Pink Floyd since the very begining with Arnold Layne and The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn way back in 1968. Since then Pink Floyd have produced some stunning and brilliant albums. The Final Cut for me should have never been released (a comment made by the David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright on completion of the album) as a Pink Floyd album because it's a Roger Waters album through and through. What were the other band members thinking of in allowing this to happen. You can see why they spilt up. I find Roger Water's music dull, morbid and totally self indulgent. Be warned, it's nothing like any other Pink Floyd album. The only reason that I purchased it was to complete my Floyd collection as it was the only missing album. If you want to here Pink Floyd at there very best then listen to 'More' film soundtrack or Wish You Were Here.

Before you buy make sure you listen to this album. If you like then fine buy it.

Not the best floyd album, i've had it for about 5 years now, and its ok, 'not now john' being the best song on the album, if you know about the history of this album you will know that it was made when the members of pink floyd could just about bare each other (this being the last floyd album with roger in it), and it shows. Still if your a pink floyd fan still get to fill your collection.

I urge any serious Pink Floyd junkie to buy this stunning collection of songs. Written as a "post- war requiem" this album will move you near to the point of tears. Roger Waters writes sensitively and intelligently with real empathy for war torn Britain.
