4.0 out of 5 stars Soul Provider, 10 Sept. 2011
In case you're unfamiliar with Jimmy's CV, he was the voice of Robin Trower for almost ten years, and Stone The Crows before that along with the inestimable Maggie Bell. Scotland has produced many fine singers (Frankie Miller, Alex Harvey, Ray Wilson spring to mind) and Jimmy's up there with the best of them. Stumbledown Romancer is his one and only solo album, and finds him in soulful mode. Jimmy liked to live dangerously and died after suffering a stroke a few years back, but anything with that voice is okay by me.
