5.0 out of 5 stars Jean Beauvoir's classic first two solo albums bar one track, 11 July 2010
DAVE HORN "Dave Horn" (Ellington Village, Northumberland, GB) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Rockin' in the Street (Audio CD)
To be very brief this must be anyone's starting point for ex-Plasmatics bassist turned solo performer Jean Beauvoir as long as you don't pay the silly 115GBP asked here for a second hand copy.

It comprises the whole of Jean Beauvoir's first two solo albums "Drums Along the Mohawk" and "Jacknifed" bar one track "This is our House" and as such is brilliant value at normal prices.

Those two albums are the absolute classic solo Jean Beauvoir, funk-rock and ballads both considerably better than 2004's "Chameleon" but nothing like his hard-rocking Crown of Thorns albums.

If you can't get this compilation at a normal price then go for those first two solo albums. Either way you won't be disappointed.
