Although classified as "folk" music this album will grace the collection of any serious music listener. Every track is strong. The words, the backing muscians and of course that remarkable voice. Many have said that June Tabor is possibly the greatest female singer of our time. This album reflects how true that statement could well be. One of those that you will listen to over and over again. If you are not familiar with the work of June Tabor this is a great place to start and if you think of folk music as being performed by someone wearing a cable pullover with their finger in their ear this album will also dispell that myth forever. A great album from a towering talant.
