Listening to this CD the other evening, more than four years after I bought it (January 1999) made we want to tell other people how awesome it is. All the Progression Session CDs are really good but, in my opinion, this one takes the biscuit. The tune selection starts off in a subtle, low key way (with the appropraitely named "Control" by Control - aka Total Science) before reeling off track after track of sustained brilliance. The vocals of MC DRS over "Santur" by Blu Mar Ten have a flow that would put most rappers to shame, "Solar" by Intense is surely one of the best drum'n'bass records ever laid down and by the time the final track comes to an end (the phenomenal BRO by Blu Mar Ten), you'll be breathless! If you ask me, the Good Looking Records crew have got into a bit of a samey rut of late but if you want to hear them at their majestic best, then buy this album!

if you have listened to anything out of the good lookin' stable before then you will know exactly what to expect: fat, deep, deep breaks, subline ambience and Conrad's superb vocals layered on top of the whole thing. this one actually feature DRS as well. he's an ill MC also, but he is not in Conrad's league. it's another typically great good lookin' release. my own personal favourites are tracks 3 and 6.
if you have not heard anything from this label then you really do need to check one of their records out. preferabley starting with one of Bukem's own ill mixes. so go out and get hold of one of these series or even the Logical Progression or Earth series because everyone is guarenteed to be dope. my own favourite is Logical Progression 1.
