5.0 out of 5 stars superb, 23 July 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Cho Cho (Audio CD)
this is a very very nice little cd. All the songs seem meticulously thought out, and the strangeness of it all will either endear it to listners or make them think twice about "jazz" and "dance" and where the line is drawn. It'n not dance, or jazz or anything like pop it's a happy medium that's unique as far as I know.
One for those people who like it strange.

5.0 out of 5 stars Experiments that worked!, 28 May 2001
This review is from: Cho Cho (Audio CD)
Cho Cho sees this Manchester based collective draw together a wide range of musical movements to produce funk laced and yet beautiful music. Laid back grooves combine with Chinese operatic vocals to produce not just the sounds of the urban North but the wider world. There are some old heads here (veterans of 808 State and Yargo are to be found working alongside less familiar faces) but the sound is totally fresh and at it's most inspiring when Seming To vocals on 'Nervous' and 'Unknown'. Tremendous.
