5.0 out of 5 stars HUMAN Beatbox....no way! You simply won't believe your ears!, 18 Jan 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Make The Music 2000 (Audio CD)
The first track says it all: "Make the Music"! If you haven't heard it yet, you are missing out on one of the miracles of the music business. Sounds that you couldn't get out of a full drum kit seem to flow smoothly intermingled with lyrics and sound effects out of Rahzel's mouth. Between "If your mother only knew" and "The 4 elements" you will find yourself in a state of shock wondering why this man isn't more famous. Easily the most under-rated bit of magic on the market.
"...I don't need no pianos, no drums, I don't need no turntables.....its just me and this microphone...."

5.0 out of 5 stars This will blow your mind!!!!, 2 Jun 2004
This review is from: Make The Music 2000 (Audio CD)
Usually when i buy an album, I'm a bit disapointed with how it sounds. Usually the album doesnt live up to how amazing the review makes it out to be. But when I purchased this album I was suprised at how much better the standard is to the review. Rahzel is extremely talented in all areas of hiphop. Not only is he exceptional at rapping, but he is oficially the world beatbox champion as well! Seriously, this album will blow your mind; the night I got it I couldnt go sleep because I was so excited after listening to it. This is the way all hiphop should be. It should make you feel alive when listening to it. Hiphop music should make you want to jump out your seat and start doing backflips. This album does exactly that. I cant say which tracks are good and which arent as every one is some of the best I've heard. Even my Mum liked it!!!

It is incredible what this man can do- it obviously takes years of commitment and practice. All the tracks are amazing but my favourite is the last track- If Your Mama Only Knew. It fully displays this guys great talent and the roaring of the crowd as they are listening to him puts a shiver down my spine. If like me you are not a big hip hop fan- you can still full appreciate Rahzel's genius. Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hip-hop at it's rawest form...the beatbox, 28 Sep 2003
This review is from: Make The Music 2000 (Audio CD)
You gotta appreciate wot this guy has done. Firstly, his album is a piece of genius... it still would be if he didn't have any electrical sounds! His beatboxing alone makes the album and his tunes compliment it. Tunes like 'Carbon Copy' and 'Suga Sista' are classics alone, and thats before you even hear the outro! His skills are amazing and he creates a unique sound. You gotta buy this record, even if you only listen to it once. Basically he is the 'Human Beatbox'... it does what it says on the tin really. BUY IT!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Man versus machine, 1 Feb 2002
This review is from: Make The Music 2000 (Audio CD)
This guy has to be the most underrated artist of all time. If youve never heard of rahzel before then take my word for it, u cannot go wrong with this album. with rahzel flippin the beat on most of the tracks and some sweet artists featured such as Q_tip and slick rick this album will have y'all in a trance from start to finish. a must buy for any hip hop fan, hardcore or not. look out for the bonus track at the end which is particularly sweet!

5.0 out of 5 stars 'The Human Beat Box', 23 Mar 2003

I recieved the recent album: 'Make The Music 2000' by Rahzel earlier this week and was totally and utterly amazed at what I was hearing!! This album features absolutely super production from Rahzel aka The Human Beat Box and nobody or nothing else. I'd never heard of this guy until a couple of weeks ago and I know for sure that every single second of the album is worth triple the amount of money I spent on it. Although, it features an excellent variety of different guest artists such as Q-Tip and Erykah Badu, Rahzel will always be the best on the CD. It also features different skits in which he performed live from his latest concert. These are definitely not worth missing where as the last one (outro) is one of the most talented parts of his style in which he raps a chorus and drops a hardcore beat...AT THE SAME TIME!! Please do me a favour a dont ask how he does it because I'm stuck on that one aswell!! Please buy this CD...for the greater good of the dedication of the greatest and most experimental genre in hip-hop music of all time. Trust me, you won't be wasting money. I'm just waiting for his next album to drop!!! Much love, Big Joe :-)

5.0 out of 5 stars when i say hip, u say hop. when i say don't u say stop., 25 Nov 2001
This review is from: Make The Music 2000 (Audio CD)
dear gawd how does this sound come out of one person. clearly no recording can ever do justice to this guys live talent, but hell it's a funky mix of his rapping, singing and oral technique (ahem) mixed up with lush scratchin and samples. listen up for bonus track, after last track - man versus machine. wow.
