5.0 out of 5 stars Two Mad Arabs, 18 Jan 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Mad For Sadness (Audio CD)
This CD is quite possibly the best live album I have heard. It combines Malcolm's dramatic guitar work and Aidan's sleazy monologues with a stealth that isn't apparent on their studio recordings. I have known people that have felt sick by the prospect of seeing Arab Strap live but I am sure this will convert the stubbornest of the sceptics.

5.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect live album, 30 Mar 2009

Arab Strap were one of the UK's best live acts and this CD confirms it. The sound quality is astounding. It is only with the applause at the end of each song that you remember you are listening to a live CD. The renditions of the songs are endowed with more power and more emotional impact. The stand-out track on here is The Girls of Summer. The CD is worth it for that track alone.

A superb recording of the set when Arab Strap were at their most powerful. Ecstacic melancholia and profound life-affirmation.
