5.0 out of 5 stars Japan Greatest Jet Rock'n'Roll Band!, 5 Sept. 2003
By
This review is from: Jet Generation (Audio CD)
Quite simply the best (and loudest) album ever made.Guitar Wolf combine the raw punk power of The Stooges, the swagger of Link Wray and the soulful sonics of the MC5 to awesome effect.
Whether it's the anthemic buzzsaw pop of 'Jet Generation' or the bass heavy sonics of 'Fujiyama Attack' each song on this album is an alsolute gem. Special mention goes to 'Roaring Blood' an epic punkabilly thrash well over 4 mins long and played at breakneck speed from start to finish.
Simply amazing!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars This quite simply rocks., 27 Oct. 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Jet Generation (Audio CD)
This album (rumoured to be the single loudest album ever recorded) makes a mockery of the human ear. You can actually hear your hi-fi being damaged whilst this plays. It stands out as a fantastically extreme slice of noise, crackling with energy and dripping with sweat.
Luckily, there are genuine songs here too. "Fujiyama Attack" can clear entire rooms with its opening squeal of feedback. "Teenage UFO" is a shockingly good pop song. The million mile an hour cover of "Summertime Blues" combined with the sheer focus of "Can-Nana Fever" could be the best closing to an album ever. "Kung Fu Ramone" is just shocking.
There is absolutely NO REASON why you should not own this album. If you have become tired of the same old stale guitar band formula, the incessant rap-rock whining, "nu-metal" bands who don't know how to rock, and acoustic guitars in general, this is the album for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loud and bloody raw, 16 July 2007

Guitar wolf do not compromise in terms of sound when it comes to recording, they want fuzz, then want it loud and they want feedback and its what they get! Brilliant raw rock n roll.

Highly recommended! Their sound has to be one of (if not THEE) best i've heard in a raw rock n roll band.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect garage rock, 4 Nov. 1999
This review is from: Jet Generation (Audio CD)
This album is perhaps the most special I have come across in quite some time. Fusing the musical dexterity of the Stooges with the speed freakery of the Dead Kennedys, Guitar Wolf's latest offering is perfect music to rock out to with your air guitar turned up to eleven. But hey, make sure you don't offend the neighbours - this album is officially the loudest CD ever made, and could permanently damage all that expensive hi-fi gear you've got stacked up. It is a risk worth taking just to hear such abrasive, incredible gut level violent rock. They even throw out a cover of Eddie Cochran's "Summertime Blues". What a band!
