Vanity 6
Released in August 1982, Vanity 6 is another of the numerous Prince side projects he has worked on over the years.

Although the songs were credited to one or all three members of the group, at the ASCAP copyright office, Prince is registered as writer of seven of the eight tracks.

The music on the album is basically the 'Minneapolis Sound', but varied by a couple of organ-flavoured pop tunes that sound like Blondie or the B-52's ('Bite The Beat' and 'He's So Dull') and a few synth-based electro-pop numbers.

But lets get down to brass tacks... This is an album that is obsessed with sex.

Subjects include sexual fantasy ('Wet Dream'), seduction ('Nasty Girl'), the act itself ('Drive Me Wild'), oral sex ('Bite The Beat'), and rejection ('He's So Dull').

'Nasty Girl' was featured in the film 'Beverly Hills Cops' (the scene at the strip-joint), but was not included on the soundtrack to the film.

Whacky, sexy good-humoured risque lyrics and wholly entertaining.

If you download one track, you should download 'Nasty Girl'.
