5.0 out of 5 stars The Joker
Joker is just a quality tune. Accept no substitute. Just the sort of stuff you need to listern to whilst relaxing and taking things easy. Do not operate heavy machinery whilst listerning to this album.

2.0 out of 5 stars Don't be misled by the two star rating....
Musically, this is a five-star album, with five-star performances of five-star songs by a five-star performer and his five-star players.

Where this album loses it's otherwise highly warranted score is on the record company's (EMI/Capitol) refusal to give it the quality up-to-the-minute digital remaster it so richly deserves.

This is an epoch defining album and quite how the owners of the title deeds have overlooked this album for a good 24bit/96hz remaster is totally beyond my comprehension. As it stands this is possibly one of the very worst sounding analogue-digital transfers I've ever heard.

The above, and the fact that Capitol Records didn't even consider the albums 'Rock Love' and 'Recall The Beginning....' for CD issue absolutely proves beyond any doubt that there are no longer any people working in the higher echelons of the music business with any notion of musicality in their veins - assuming they have veins, of course.

EMI/Capitol should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.

Rock on, Steve!
