5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome !!!!!!!
I've had this on vinyl for years and it still sounds as fresh and exciting now. Everything is here - trad French, latino, rap, ska, rai, punk. It almost defies definition, and it's sung in four different languages. There are no obvious comparisons, but imagine The Clash meeting up with Ruben Gonzalez at a bordello in downtown Marseilles and you'll be somewhere near. Your...

5.0 out of 5 stars Why ignore great music?, 14 Jan 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Puta's Fever (Audio CD)
The fact that I'm writing the first Amazon UK review of this album sums up the strange Brit attitude to foreign music. This, along with La Mano's Casa Babylon, is one of the best albums you'll ever buy. Instead of buying yet another turgid Britrock guitar album, why not buy a blast of fresh air? Crashingly energetic, funky, inventive, addictive, funny and foreign, this is an album that will improve your life. Give in now and buy it - the rest of the world has. Bring some colour to this grey little island we live on.
