4.0 out of 5 stars Its better than you expect.
I bought the album after I had watched the film. It was obvious that the running related tracks would be similar as that part of the film is similar, but none the less it is still enjoyable. The first half of the album (tracks 1-9) are great and are also good to exercise to. Unfortunately the second half is not as good as the first. Some of the tracks feel like they...

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing shadow of the film's excellent soundtrack.
After seeing the excellent Run Lola Run in the cinema the other day, I went straight out to buy the soundtrack. It was a wonderful techno soundscape that fitted the pace and mood of the movie perfectly. The soundtrack was hideously overpriced, so I bought it on Amazon and waited and what a disappointment it was.
The first two tracks are only fine, but then the...

This review is from: Lola Rennt [Run Lola Run] (Audio CD)
I bought the album after I had watched the film. It was obvious that the running related tracks would be similar as that part of the film is similar, but none the less it is still enjoyable. The first half of the album (tracks 1-9) are great and are also good to exercise to. Unfortunately the second half is not as good as the first. Some of the tracks feel like they were just tagged on to fill up space on the cd but one of the re-mixes (track 13 I think) rescues the re-mix section from being dire.
Overall if the album sound track was sold in two parts original and re-mix then it would have been much better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Music to stress out by, 12 Sep 2006
This review is from: Lola Rennt [Run Lola Run] (Audio CD)
I bought this CD years ago, and since then it's always been the music that I put on when I really need to focus on something. It's a set of thumping techno tunes (variations on a theme, which I really like).

If you've seen the film, you'll know what to expect.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quite electrifying; as highly charged as the movie, 17 May 2000

Very good; captures the film's atmosphere very well. The first four tracks are the best, with the Introduction and Running One successfully carrying over the intense feeling of the film. The remixes aren't as strong as the original tracks, but are good enough to merit repeated listening. Recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute class, 23 Nov 2000

After watching the film I decided to get the soundtrack to see what is was like. I don't normally listen to techno, but now I have really got into it, and it's because of this. This is intense music, able to hold its own against Underworld or Leftfield etc. at a party, and while the remixes aren't too hot, this is an constant attack of well-picked samples, well structured singing and just generally banging sounds! Do not listen to people who say this is bad! THEY ARE WRONG!

The first two tracks are only fine, but then the album fades into mediocrity. I'm not sure whether it is because the whole album sounds like a remix of just one song, if the rip-off of Underworld's "Pearl's Girl" like the rest of the tracks just grates like poor Europop or if you have to see the film with it.
Save your money and get the film on video
