Bought this after seeing Dancing the night away performed on a BBC rock of the 70's show. Fantastic guitar track bursting with energy.

I had heard tracks like Airport and Forget About You before but hadn't realised they were by The Motors or who The Motors were for that matter.

A few good tracks, but a lot of not so great ones too.

Whether you like this album or not might well depend on whether you are a Motors fan or not. It is a collection of probably their best known tracks, including the fabulous "dancing The Night Away" and the slightly more sophisticated "Airport". For me its a trip down memory lane as they were inspirational in my own musical career in the 1970s and I loved their guitar sound, to me they were a logical progression from the UK "beat" groups of the 1960s. You wouldn't perhaps call them great musicians yet their sound was fresh and original, they were a fantastically tight band live and they wrote great songs. The songs on this album are incredibly varied and perhaps this lack of consistency explains why they were not more successful. Despite this, its worth a listen. And how could you not love a band where the lead guitar player was called Bram Tchaikovsky?

saw the motors on an old top of the pops singing airport, which i recognised from years ago. The CD is really good i love every track especially Dancing the night away.Their songs are really good and bounce along and for me have stood the test of time.

The Motors had talent in spades and I cannot understand why they didn't go on to conquer to world. This album has everything from heavy rock to melodic synth. My only regret, The Motors are no longer around.

Is this the most underrated band of the 70's? Perhaps needed an imposing front man. By the time people realised how good they were they'd split!

I love songs with long introductions (check out the long version of the Temptations' "Papa was a Rolling Stone"), and "Dancing the Night Away" has an excellent, long and varied intro, so that's the prime reason for buying this CD (they're so cheap now!). I knew "Sensation", "Airport" and "Forget about You", but the other tracks are a novelty. Nothing impressive so far, but all the best music needs repeated visits.
