This review is from: Sea of Glass (Audio CD)
Well, who would have thought it? This is a kind of New-Age, Ambient album written and performed by a Nashville based instrumentalist, who pops up on Emmylou Harris's latest album, Hard Bargain.

I was so wrapped up in her album that I had to find out about Jay Joyce and Giles Reaves. There was more about the latter, so I YouTube'd him and found excerpts from this album.

It's highly interesting, very space-like and quite beautiful. It takes you mind away from the troubles of the world, lets your mind wander, but never in such a way that you lose sight of the music. Some of the tracks are guitar-led, others are keyboard-led and all instruments are played by Mr Reaves.

Track listing (and timings) is as follow:

Evolutions (4.34)
Twilight (5.17)
reverie (5.08)
Aurora (6.33)
After The Falls (5.49)
Submerged (9.58)
Suspended - On A Sea Of Glass (13.07)

The titles describe the music perfectly.

He has two other albums - Wunjo and Nothing Is Lost - both of which are excellent, too.
