4.0 out of 5 stars From the depths of the Dubhead vault comes the roots message, 18 April 2001
This review is from: Dubhead - Volume One (Audio CD)
This compilation label sampler kicks of with The Truth in Strickly Rootical mood with a heavy reminder of where digi-dub has to thank for its inspiration, aside from Jah. No, its not James Bond, our cultural icon of all things fast and furious, although his theme tune gets a dubwise reworking that has to be heard! King General steps up the pace with 'Hot Stepper Dub' - a tune to get the mind expanding, and if your body don't move too, then you must be a corpse. Tunes from Iration Steppas, Dub Specialists, and Armagideon beef up the bass. Fans know this, but for the curious 'Dubhead vol.1' provides a good starting point for those heads wishing to expand into the digital world of Dubhead. Dubhead rule de nation - wake the town and tell the people!
