It is one the great rock albums & has been said, some of the tracks here are better than the original album versions. If you are such a pedant that the most important thing is ( It's not all live ) in the 70s that the way they did things,I have a a 1978 N.M.E. book which give a massive hint about that saying Van Morrison's live album:- It's Too Late To Stop Now (1974) ( It is a fantastic album ) was an unusual live album as he refused to overdub a single note.So for the ' Its not totaly live lot ' get over yourselves, if you do not buy this you are just depriveing yourselves, if you are a rock fan buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously, and as most other reviewers have already written, a fantastic album. It's one of my favourites. I'm glad they fixed it technically because usually live albums are annoyingly poor in that area.

One of the reasons I like this album so much is that the songs are full of song writing ideas that you want to pick up and use again. They seem to have lots of ways to make a track build momentum. Just when you think they can't raise the energy level any more, they do. Maybe that part of the songs works even better live.

Another brilliant live album, this time from critic's favourites Thin Lizzy. Its 1978 and the band are on a roll, peaking in fact shortly before the departure of guitarist Brian Robertson. Its starts with Jailbreak and the crowd are immediately in Lynott's hand. Hits and album favourites come thick and fast. Side 2's Still In Love With You contains one of the greatest guitar solos ever (Robbo). Side 4 is awesome with the extended solos in SUicide and the funky Baby Drives Me Crazy in which the band members are introduced.

This is frequently voted best live album ever and I completely agree ,I have been listening to music as well as purchasing and even
partaking by going to concerts ,though not Thin Lizzies (the nearest I ever got was listening outside and that was loud). So what this means everybody needs to have this in their collection and if you do not get it then turn the volume up ,up ,up that's better

What can I say, if you like LIVE rock music, then this is the CD for you. All the bands best tracks belted out by the master. Forget the fact that the album was tarted up in the studio, this just enhances it and takes nothing away from the raw energy. If you enjoyed this then try AC/DC "If you want blood", Rainbow "On stage" and Deep Purple "live in Japan".

This is a must have.
If it's not in your record collection; Buy it!
It's quite simply an awesome piece of work and has to be played from beginning to end at a decent volume to really appreciate it.
The classic Lizzy line up, no question. Scott and Brian in total harmony, with BD as powerful and subtle as ever on the sticks.
Timeless......
