5.0 out of 5 stars Start Your Hall & Oates Collection Here
An excellent package of some of the duo's greatest hits especially in the UK. However, some of their later hits from the end of the 80's and early 90's are sadly missing. An 18 track compilation can never do justice to the volume of work the duo have produced in the last 30 years or so - a double album or even boxed set is needed!
However, "Looking Back" is the ideal...

3.0 out of 5 stars good value package
For what it is, very reasonably priced (even new!). For their 80s fans, all of their best know material is right here. Family Man, Maneater, I can't go for that, etc etc. A marvelous addition to your music collection.

Obviously, the more recent collection album, would include the lesser know tracks they have produced since this.

However, "Looking Back" is the ideal introduction to Hall & Oates, but make sure you also buy "Oooh Yeah" for the track "Missed Opportunity" and also "Change Of Season" for the excellent "Don't Hold Back Your Love".
I also recommend their two recent releases "Marigold Sky" and "Do It For Love", but start with this CD and you will not be disappointed.

It's a great compilation of their greatest hits. The sound is excellent, we usually play it on our car trips and it's very enjoyable as it's clear and well equalized.

This is a great album, chronicling Hall and Oates, achievements over the past 30 years.Almost all the tracks are good (though some better than others) especially,"Back together Again","Your Kiss","Private Eyes" and "Maneater",which are all superb."Starting over Again" isn't so good and some of the other tracks are far from perfect.Overall it's a good album, worth having if your a fan of Hall and Oates or fan of 80's Music,(and even if your not do consider buying it).

4.0 out of 5 stars Good best of album., 28 Feb 2014

This is a good best of album by Hall and Oates. It doesn't have all their better songs but some are on here with a few okay 3 star songs. She's Gone is a good song which is from Abandoned Luncheonette. I also consider Sara Smile and Rich Girl to be 4 or 5 star songs. Rich Girl from Bigger Than Both Of Us and so is Back Together Again. Sara Smile is from Daryl Hall and John Oates. Four star songs for me are Private Eyes, One On One, Family Man, Adult Education, Out Of Touch, Everything Your Heart Desires, Starting All Over Again, So Close.

1. She's Gone 5/5
2. Sara Smile 4/5
3. Rich Girl 5/5
4. Back Together Again 5/5
5. You've Lost That Loving Feeling 5/5
6. Kiss On My List 3/5
7. Everytime You Go Away 4/5
8. Private Eyes 4/5
9. I Can't Go For That 3/5
10. Maneater 4/5
11. One On One 4/5
12. Family Man 4/5
13. Adult Education 4/5
14. Out Of Touch 4/5
15. Method Of Modern Love 4/5
16. Everything Your Heart Desires 4/5
17. So Close 4/5
18. Starting All Over Again 4/5
