5.0 out of 5 stars An absolute corker of an album by an often underrated artist, 30 Oct. 2007
This review is from: Street Machine (Audio CD)
There are great albums that never receive their just acclaim and 'Street Machine' is by means the least of them. An excellent mix of great performances and songs that run the gamut from high octane near-metal to quality hard rock ballads.

There are no duff tracks, but there are some classic slices of American rock. Probably the best known is 'This Planet's On Fire' which picks up some airplay on rock stations thanks to its infectious riffing, but there's much more. Highlight of the album for me is 'Plain Jane' a melodic rocker reminiscent of Bob Seger but with a harder edge. I'd have to mention 'Falling In Love' which shows off Sammy's voice in all its octave spanning glory.

If you only know Sammy's work with Montrose and Van Halen 'Street Machine' won't let you down. It's a genuine lost classic'
