Dub War are one of the most original bands I have ever heard. Whereas most bands nowadays are doing the nu-metal thing, which is getting so boring, these guys are blending together rock, metal and hardcore with reggae, soul and dub to sublime effect. If you're an open minded music fan, you really have to give this a listen. You won't have anything like it.

Fell in love with this album over a decade ago. A combination of ragga and metal it really is a joy to listen to whether it's the full on grind of 'Greedee' or the beautiful serenity of 'Silencer'. Possibly the nearest comparison would be Living Colour but this doesn't really do this band justice. Singer Benjy now fronts Skindred who I recently caught live. Took my breath away!!

This was the second album from the band who got little respect at the time, then morphed into SKINDRED a few years later and then suddenly everyone understood how great they were.
This second Dubwar album was all about stripping back the chaos, timing it all right, and they seperated apart many of the styles and sounds which did not totally work. Some very good tracks, and created very well to be truthful, but not as huge and mighty as the first album. Still though, very original, brave, different and worth hearing. Cool indeed.
