4.0 out of 5 stars lots of the old, but fantastic, memorable tunes!
this album starts of with one of the best tunes that everything but the girl has released. with its eights style but modern beat this album has something to make you cry and not forgetting to make you bop.if its a varaity of old skool and up beat tunarunies...its one for the wish list

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the Best of, but a good try...
Not the very best of EBTG, but the stand out tracks for me are: Missing, Apron Strings, I don't want..., Driving and Protection.
Gives a good insight into EBTG world, but for a complete look you need to get the albums that make up this collection.
A good attempt though, just not good enough...

3.0 out of 5 stars EBTG switch labels and start becoming really succesful....., 18 Oct 2001
This review is from: Best Of Everything But The Girl (Audio CD)
so ebtg switch labels and start becoming really succesful in the dance aren...they pull out the best of ebtg's past life as a folky band and release it with a few of their recent mixes cobbled on.
two problems here. the first is that it hasn't been done exceptionally well and you don't get a glimpse into the development of the band as you might have done, for instance had the track choice (and ordering) been better. the second is that it their older stuff isn't that great (imo) and this forms the majority of the album.
still there are some good tracks. but if (like me) you like their more recent stuff then this may not be for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Recomendable para todo fan de EBTG., 20 Aug 2011
This review is from: Best Of Everything But The Girl (Audio CD)

1.0 out of 5 stars NOT best of ..., 26 May 2006

To be honest, I don't like EBTG much. I only like one song "I don't wanna talk about it" - this is the reason I bought this collection. The rest of the song are only average. If you're a collector of Greatest Hits albums, then OK, If not, I will not recommend not buying it because you like 1 or 2 songs. You can find them on various artist albums.
