5.0 out of 5 stars Top, top album
On the justifiably critically acclaimed 'Odelay' Beck seems to try his hand at virtually every genre under the sun........And seems to succeed at each increasingly ambitious attempt. The album, aside from the obvious brilliance of 'new pollution' and 'where it's at', is a simply stunning exhibition of Beck's clear genius. Highlights would have to be the opening bars of...

3.0 out of 5 stars good album
Good album, I'm not convinced it hasn't been a bit over hyped. There are some superb moments thats for sure.

massiveley overated, all the beats have been done better in hip hop, doesn't hold up to repeated listening

This is a brilliant album by Beck, perhaps his greatest to date, avoid his hyped up single "loser" and go for some Beck Quality, this album is a must for all beck fans

I saw Beck on Jools Holland's TV show playing some very cool stuff, and so bought this album. Very disappointed and sold it after playing it twice (second time just to make sure I wasn't imagining the first time). Several tracks start out really well, great energy, rhythm and sound, then get ruined by samples, painfully distorted guitar and other randomness just chucked in for no apparent reason. Completeley unlistenable. I'm clearly in a minority here, but other reviewers on other sites seem to agree with me.

C**p. Complete and utter c**p. That's five words. No, that's 11... you get my point. This a complete load of self indulgent, tuneless, ridiculous rubbish. It only cost me 1p, and I feel ripped off. Avoid at all costs.
