4.0 out of 5 stars A headbangers favourite
Shotgun Messiah - Second Coming: The first five songs and the last song of this album transcend the boundaries or rock music, the lyrics are simple but smart and there are some guitar solos that would make Sir Jimi blush. The rest of the album, however, can be best described as lacking in lyrics. The songs start of well but then the guy runs out of things to say and...

3.0 out of 5 stars Shotgun Messiah - 'Second Coming' (Relativity)
Full-throttled dose of high-energy heavy duty rock & roll from this Swedish band's second effort. Not quite as good as their self-titled debut CD - but still decent. For those of you who may not remember, before the band recorded 'Second Coming', Shotgun's lead vocalist Zinny J. San exited the group only to have the vocal duties left to bassist Tim Skold. The major shift...

3.0 out of 5 stars Shotgun Messiah - 'Second Coming' (Relativity), 8 Jun 2009
This review is from: Second Coming (Audio CD)
Full-throttled dose of high-energy heavy duty rock & roll from this Swedish band's second effort. Not quite as good as their self-titled debut CD - but still decent. For those of you who may not remember, before the band recorded 'Second Coming', Shotgun's lead vocalist Zinny J. San exited the group only to have the vocal duties left to bassist Tim Skold. The major shift change seemed to have worked rather well. Key tracks are "Sexdrugsrockn'roll", the awesome "Nobody's Home", "Ride The Storm" and their raucous cover of the New York Doll's "Babylon". 'Second Coming' offers it's listener(s) some powerful chops, fairly well-written songs and a bit of spontaneity. Overall, not a bad find.
